Answer: Australia - Inquiry on CCM

Thank you for your e-mail below and your interest in working with the Global Fund through your organization. In response to your inquiries on a CCM for Australia and the Pacific Region, as well as the eligibility criteria to apply for funding, we would like to share with you the following information on the Global Fund:

The list of countries eligible for funding from the Global Fund as single country applicants in Round 8 are listed in Annex 1 of the Guidelines for proposals available at: http://www.theglobalfund.org/documents/rounds/8/GuidelinesR8_single_en.pdf . In this regard it is important to note that the Global Fund's revised eligibility criteria was determined at the Sixteenth Board Meeting and detailed information on the principles and its application is available at: http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/files/boardmeeting16/GF-BM16-Decisions.pdf

In regards to your specific inquiry, Australia is not eligible to apply as a single country applicant, therefore we are unable to provide you with contact details for a CCM.  However, we would direct your attention to the various Global Fund grants that have been funded to the Pacific Community - a multi-country stakeholder group in that region.  You will find information on their existing grants for all three diseases at the following link to our website: http://www.theglobalfund.org/programs/countrysite.aspx?countryid=MWP&lang=en.  In this regard, we would recommend that you contact the various members of their CCM for further information and/or participation in this group: http://www.theglobalfund.org/programs/CCMMembers.aspx?CountryId=MWP&lang=en.
