Re: Research on the health system-wide effects of the Global Fund

Very right in your submission to information received on countries perspective on health system. from background as health system advisor of my organization. We have done a lot for our country on health system strength thou not with GF money. You may check the web www. herfon .org
Have suggested before, let GF have a portfolio on health system it may be difficult for organization with  skills in diseases management to effectively manage for health system in an integrated approach. Health system is not only on qualitative results.

I am interested in research and writings addressing countries who have actually been successful not only in obtaining money from the Global Fund to support health system development, but what they have done with the money, their health-system successes, their actual results.  I have found many writings addressing how countries tied their health system development proposals to one of the three diseases, and how countries can get more money for health system development by following various guidelines, but none of these writings seem to actually talk about what countries are doing on the ground.  Any thoughts, suggestions, advice?
